HP Tuners Course | How To Use HP Tuners - Featured Image

What to learn how to tune using HP Tuners using MVPI, MVPI 2 or MVPI 3 units?

ls engine tuning

The Practical Reflash Tuning Course contains a full 6 step worked example filmed using HP Tuners on a LS engine teaching both 'MAF' and 'MAFless' methods of tuning via injectior scaling and Speed Density Principle examples. A performance cam (aggressive) tuning example is also part of the curriculum for those after even more power.

This example will be relevant to a broad range of GM engines as it covers:
- How GM Gen III/IV ECUs are laid out in HP Tuners
- How to tune aggressive aftermarket cams in an LS V8 platform
- How to calibrate fuel and ignition tables
- How to optimise speed density tables
- How to understand which tables the ECU is using at any time and how they work

This means that if you’re tuning a Caddy/Cadillac/Chevrolet/Chevy/Holden/HSV/General Motors L98, LR4, LM4/LM7, LS1, LS6, LQ4, LQ9, L76, L99, LS2, LS3, L94, LSA, LS9, or LS7 engine this worked example will also be very helpful to you with the same fundamental tuning process required for these engines across a few more tables. Beginning tuner. I have finished practical reflash tuning class. I am following the "HP Tuners GM Gen III/IV LS - Basic" working example using HPTuners(HPT) just like the instructor. I have downloaded my factory base tune, and now following the steps to setup/modify the base tune before I begin the road testing. Some of my HPT tables are different from the training video, some options are not there. Is this because my newer version of HPT has been changed. Do I need to just make the changes that look the same and move on? Worried I might make a mistake.
