after the turning course with ecutek. I was wondering, in the even the knock sensor break and don't send any signal. would the ecu advance the timing until self-destruction of the engine? can we add a max advance of the self learning?
That's an unlikely scenario, but a great question, and I love that you're pondering things like this.
If the knock sensor is in a fail state and a code is thrown for it, the ECU will not learn additional positive timing advance.
Yes you can also set max dynamic advance and learned advance values.
