I am seeing some alcohol tables in the 2014 Ford F-150 Tremor ECU . Can a Ethanol content sensor be hooked up to these ECU. To log Ethanol content. The injectors in my Ecoboost will only flow about 30% before running out of injectors. Would like to have flex fuel up to 30% .. 100% stock standard vechicle 76,000 miles thanks Terry
Which pin on the ECU can the Ethanol content sensor be wired into ??
We haven't dealt with flex fuel in any of the Ford ECMs at this stage. My understanding however is that the Ford ECUs of this generation don't use a flex fuel sensor but instead ethanol content is inferred via feedback from the wideband AFR sensors. I believe the strategy is in place to use flex fuel but I haven't personally done it.
Interesting I only did a read of stock tune have not yet had the time to play with it yet . See you & Ben PRI 2018 .
I'm not sure of the specifics of how to enable and tune the Ford controls, but the way these things work is that the Ethanol learning is basically a 3rd fuel trim. There's short term, long term, and learned Ethanol %.
