Hey,
2 Questions. Does anyone know all the requirements for the ECU to set a learned knock value (Fine Knock Learn)? I often will have a situation were I flash a calibration and clear ECM learning as part of the process, only to have a learned knock value show up without any feedback knock being present beforehand. My understanding is that there are other conditions that can set a FNL value, but I think it would be beneficial to know what those are.
I'm currently in the process of trying to tune out a post spool overboost, I have a set target of 135KPA but it will often spike to 145-150 before turbo dynamics drags it back down. My first step was to set some more reasonable boost targets during spool and reduced the WGDC right before my boost target RPM. Its seemed to help but has increased the spool RPM a bit. I'm wondering if giving myself a bit more resolution by a couple of tight RPM breakpoints in the WGDC High/Low table during spool and right after would help give the ability hold a high WGDC longer, then pull it down faster than just relying on cell interpolation over a wider range.
Also, given that I'm running an External gate and a 3 port, are the factory Turbo Dynamics numbers still a reasonable value?
Cheers,
Jordie
