Hi all,

This is Arvin, I recently purchased an ECUTEK PROECU TUNING kit for tunning my GEN2 BRZ.

And I tried to copy the Request torque/Accel pedal map of GR86 JDM version to my 'ZF2L100R00G' ECU to improved initial accelerator response.

After I copied and reflashed all Request torque/Accel pedal map of GR86 to my car, my car showed a rev limitation in my dashboard and can't rev higher than 3000 rpm.

I found that every different version of GR86/BRZ's stock ROM file has different numbers of Request torque/Accel pedal maps which confused me a lot.

And I found there are many undefined maps with the name of m1dxxxx, I think the undefined maps also plays important role in changing the equest torque/Accel pedal maps.

So my questions are listed as follows:

1. Are there any maps I should modify to copy the Request torque/Accel pedal map of GR86 to my BRZ?

2. Is there possible for us to figure out how undefined maps function, as I found that some undefined maps has been tuned to my BRZ (which has been tuned by local tuner with ECUTEK)

3. According to the ROM file, there are lots of Request torque/Accel pedal maps in gen2 (such as check, main, other), while there are only two maps in gen 1 BRZ, is anyone knows how they work?

4. Another problem I found that is according to my log file, my actual engine torque always show 99999 while some actual number shows in a un tuned BRZ.

It would be really appreciated if you guys could give me some suggestion and comments. I am a fresh person in tuning, every suggestion will help me a lot.

Thank you very much!

Arvin,

Figuring out how undefined maps function would be a topic beyond tuning that gets into the real of the WinOLS course material, albeit you'd be using it with Ecutek.

Main and check tables of the same name generally need to be identical. The purpose of the check is to hopefully detect potential data corruption that could cause dangerous DBW behavior.

Multiple sets of tables are involved in and layer related to going from accelerator pedal position to torque request, then torque request to a throttle target. As you noticed the system, not just the values, vary per ROM, so this will not be a copy and paste situation. Adjusting these values is also dangerous, so use extreme caution.

Some monitors don't work, either because they aren't used in your ROM, or there's an error in that ROM support. Asking Ecutek if that's expected to work on your ROM or not would be a good step.

Mike,

Thank you very much for your kindly reply, I will further investigate about it.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
