Hello everyone
Im new to HP academy and in the process of tuning my GTO with HP Tuners. I have some knowledge but my biggest question right now is has anyone switched from a LS2 MAF to a LS3/LS7 card style MAF with HP tuners. I know there is more to it than just recalling the MAF because the values are different. I'm switching because I have a OTR intake and 102mm TB with FAST 102 intake manifold and if I keep the LS2 MAF it will be restrictive. Also I'm not just flowing more air to be flowing more air, I'm running a .629/.615 lift cam with Nitrous and full bolt on. Im just wanting to make sure I'm doing it right so any input will be awesome
It should be just a case of calibrating the MAF table to suit. There is a thread on the HP Tuners forum here that details it: https://forum.hptuners.com/showthread.php?31892-LS2-LS3-MAF-swap
If the duration of your cam is where I'd expect it to be for that sort of lift then you're likely going to struggle with tuning on MAF anyway, particularly if it's mounted right on the TB. They are very sensitive to reversion pulsing which you'll get at idle and low load. I'd be inclined to tune that using SD.
