G'day, I did a scan on my car and the LTFT and the STFT were not registering. I looked through the file and found that whoever had been in the ECU before deactivated them both. I have activated them both and flashed it into the ECU, but the LTFT and the STFT are still not registering. Any ideas? Thanks.

Are your o2 sensors in good working order, functioning, no DTCs, no codes disabled?

The o2 sensors are new. It hasn't come up with any faults. In the channels it says; Fuel system #1 status ( SAE ) OL - Not Ready.

On the scan at idle, o2 b1 and o2 b2 are around 440 to 448. Also INJ B1 and INJ B2 are not registering.

HP Tuners VCM Scanner often has many similar named monitors available for an application, so have you tried enabling all similar named items, recording, to see if some of them give you non zero data?

How long are you running the engine before shutting it down?

Depending on the ECU you're working with there may be lots of tables tables related to fuel trim enable/disable.

Even just for minimum coolant temperature you'll often find multiple tables, then max temp, sometimes also tables related to MAP, baro, RPM, TPS and more, and all enable conditions must be met. Can you get hold of a stock tune for your ECU, compare, and see if perhaps more was tampered with?

It is a LS1 V8 from a 2004 Holden. I will have more of a look, But I think getting hold of a stock tune sounds like the best idea. Thanks.

Sounds good, please let us know how it goes.

I have tested my o2 sensors with a multimeter and they were at 5.5 ohms. I then tested the wires coming to them. The heater side was 14.58 volts. The messenger side was 0.385. They should be working, but they still don't show up on the scan.

Did you investigate the things we mentioned?

Yes, but I still haven't got my hands on a stock file. Getting hard to find one for a 2004.

If you are using HP Tuners, then use the Tune Repository (only available from your account on hptuners.com) to find stock files. I searched for 2004 Holden, and find 7 different files for the 5.7L V8, 4 with automatic trans, and 3 with manual.

Due to USA emissions concerns, the repository only contains stock files now. Here are two that I downloaded for you:
