Hello,
I have a 2007 STI with a COBB Intake, stock MAF, and stock injectors (565cc). I noticed that my injector duty cycles can sometimes reach 95% on WOT and realize that larger injectors are a necessary upgrade. The car is in need of a re-tune since I moved to an area with lower quality fuel (91 Octane to ACN 91 Octane).
Should I focus on road tuning the car first without the larger injectors? I saw that Subaru in particular use the MAF and injector scaling for the AFR and changing both at the same time won't give me the right results. How should I handle this?
I'm looking to upgrade to the ID1050X injectors and found there are characterization tables included with the injectors.
Thanks
Gabe
If you're going to change injectors then I'd suggest you start with the stock injectors and get the MAF calibration dialled in accurately. Once you've done that you can swap to the ID1050 and focus on the injector scaling and latency tables to correct the error. If you fit injectors and a modified MAF simultaneously it's hard to know where to make your changes.
