How would I got about street tuning a torque based ECU car such as a 2014 coyote mustang?
Unfortunately with the late model Ford engines I would not recommend trying to tune these on the street. These are a complex engine and to properly calibrate the torque and torque inverse tables you need feedback from a dyno.
Agree with Andre, these arent an ECU to try and learn on the street.
Are you familiar with the platform yet?
You will have either 16, 24 or 32 of all the key tables and need to know how to determine which you are utilising in different modes.
What tuning suite are you going to use to expose the tables?
I could offer some pointers to help you get to grips with the workflow.
Hello Stu, i could need some help too, can you give me these pointers or good hints for the Mustang Coyote Engine?
I would realy appreciate that, having some troubles with my tune.
The Coyote is not a system I am very familiar with so if its a hardware issue I wont be able to offer help. We dont see many of these in the UK.
Most of our Stangs are Ecoboost platform.
If its ECU logic your struggling with, maybe I can still help.
